This song loosely rolled around in my brain for about 30 years, and finally coalesced about 4 years ago. The quiet hill crew has managed to beautifully capture the mood and feel.
For this, the regular band members are joined by Myles Cornish on trumpet.
lyrics
SPECIAL
Once I gave my heart so easily, let it fly up to the sky, swirl among the swaying trees
Now I don’t give it away so easily.
Hold my head up higher, let Cupid’s arrows fly right by ...
Lessons still to learn on how to be good with someone else, and better still with me
Setting free my heart … is risky
What’s special about you that should be special to me (Show me, show me, show me, show me)
What’s special about you that should be special to me (Show me, show me, show me, show me)
I want to give my heart so make it easy
I want to fly, said I want to fly
What’s special about you that should be special to me (Show me, show me, show me, show me)
What’s special about you that should be special to me (Show me, show me, show me, show me)
I want to fly, said I want to fly
Fly…. fly….
Show me show me show me (Show me, show me, show me, show me)
Show me show me show me (Show me, show me, show me, show me)
What’s special about you that should be special to me (Show me, show me, show me, show me)
What’s special about you that should be special to me (Show me, show me, show me, show me)
What’s so special about you?
